General

What is a Nurse Practitioner (NP)?

A NP is a nurse with advanced academic training who can assess, diagnose, treat and prescribe independently. She provides care comparable to that of a primary care physician, with a patient-centered approach.

How does a teleconsultation work?

At the Clinique THVR, there are two ways to make an appointment.

1. Make an appointment to verify your admissibility for teleconsultation:

Select Verify my admissibility (free assessment). Once your appointment is confirmed, you will receive a phone call to verify your admissibility for teleconsultation with the NP. This service is free of charge.

2. Make an appointment with the NP:

Appointments with the NP are made by video, depending on the reason for your consultation, which you will choose in advance. You will be asked a few questions to ensure your admissibility for teleconsultation by a form. Once the appointment has been made, you will receive a confirmation email and instructions on how to join the video consultation. This service costs $145 or according to the package chosen.

Please note: If your situation does not fall within the scope of practice of the NP or cannot be handled by teleconsultation, the consultation will not be refundable. That is why we invite you to verify your admissibility before booking.

How long does a consultation last?

In general, a consultation lasts between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the nature of the health problem. We take the time needed to meet your needs.

What methods of payment are accepted?

We accept payment by credit card or Interac transfer. Some insurances also cover consultations with an NP check with your insurer or group insurance company.

Payments by Interac e-transfer should be sent to the following address: info@cliniquethvr.com

(No password required—automatic deposit is enabled. Please include your full name and appointment date in the transfer message.)

Do you issue insurance receipts?

Yes, a receipt will be issued after the consultation, which you can submit to your insurer if your NP services are covered.

Can I get a prescription?

Yes, NP can prescribe medications, renew prescriptions, adjust treatments and order tests (blood tests…).

Do you offer emergency services?
We are not an emergency service. For any serious or urgent symptoms (chest pain, difficulty breathing, serious injury, etc.), please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Do I have to live in a specific region to use your services?
Our services are available to Quebec residents only. All you need is a stable Internet connection and to be physically in Quebec at the time of consultation.
Can I consult for my child or a relative?
